Places to Visit

Kent is widely reputed to be one of the most beautiful parts of the UK, thus earning itself the moniker ‘the Garden of England’. It also wears its history with pride; a convenient outpost to London across the centuries it is now home to beautiful villages with time honoured charm, historic monuments, moated manor houses and of course the outstanding Hever Castle, best known as the childhood home of the fated queen, Anne Boleyn.

Alongside its heritage, Kent is also home to startling wildlife and landscapes, as evidenced at the likes of Knole House which is nestled into a vast deer park, and the Chislehurst Caves which are a magical phenomena - a labyrinth of manmade tunnels forming a maze over six hectares, 30 metres below a woodland surface.

Sevenoaks’ location just half an hour from London makes it an easy escape from the city to an area that’s teaming with opportunities to explore, discover and entertain. Westerham, Edenbridge and Eynsford are all nearby, overflowing with atmosphere and offering vibrant shopping streets, architectural treasures and appealing places to eat and drink to give you a real flavour of Kent life.
